A Practice of Tending

There are times when mindfulness asks more of us than simply noticing what is here.

How do we meet what we find with kindness? How do we stay close to ourselves in difficult moments without becoming overwhelmed? How do we cultivate a heart spacious enough to hold sorrow and joy, tenderness and strength?

Tending the Heart is a four-week contemplative series exploring mindfulness and heart-centered practices that support a compassionate, steady, and more loving relationship with ourselves and our lives.

Through meditation, reflection, gentle inquiry, and practices drawn from the Buddhist wisdom tradition and contemporary teachings on self-compassion, we'll explore what it means not to fix the heart, but to tend it.

Together we may explore...

Self-compassion · Lovingkindness · Equanimity · Joy · Meeting difficult emotions · Receiving what nourishes · Compassion without fixing · Bringing the practices into everyday life
